- How are the two usage pools different?
- Caedral Models covers Caedral-operated products that debit that pool — today Caedral Embed and native Caedral Voice (caedral-voice-1). External Models covers frontier lab APIs and Caedral-hosted rerank. The gateway chooses the pool from the model, not from a flag in your request.
- What happens when my included usage ends?
- The next request that cannot fit in remaining pool returns HTTP 402 unless you are on a paid plan with on-demand enabled and remaining on-demand headroom. Hobby cannot enable on-demand.
- Can I disable additional usage?
- Yes. On-demand is off until you enable it in the dashboard. Disable it again to return to a hard stop at the included pools.
- How does annual billing work?
- Annual billing is 20% off the monthly price, charged once per year. Pools still reset every month. Example: Pro is $20/mo or the equivalent of $16/mo when billed annually.
- Is Notre a paid add-on?
- Notre Runtime is built into Caedral. No add-on. No separate bill. Every plan includes Notre Runtime. It is not a SKU, not a dashboard toggle, and not billed on its own. It is applied on eligible POST /v1/chat/completions when the platform runs Notre. Embeddings, rerank, voice, and images do not go through Runtime. More than 60% fewer tokens in validated Notre workloads. See Notre Runtime for the operating claim.
- Are Caedral models priced differently?
- Yes at the meter: Embed is $0.001 per 1M tokens, Voice is $0.30 per 1M input tokens, rerank is $0.0005 per request. Those rates debit the pool that model belongs to.
- How do Teams pools work?
- Each paid seat adds that plan’s Caedral and External amounts to a shared team pool. The owner pays Stripe. Members consume against the team while that team is their billing target. One account can belong to at most one team.
- What HTTP error appears when spending is unavailable?
- HTTP 402. The request is not fulfilled. Unused pool is not silently overdrawn.
- Can I change plan later?
- Yes from this page or the dashboard. Upgrades start after Stripe confirms payment. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
