Billing FAQ
Common questions about plans, credits, and prepaid billing.
FAQ
- When do credits reset? Every 7 days while your plan is active. Unused credits do not carry to the next week — they are a weekly allowance, not a bank.
- What happens at zero? Requests that cannot be covered return HTTP 402 insufficient_balance. Top up your prepaid balance or upgrade your plan.
- Do unused credits roll over? No. Weekly credits refresh every 7 days; your prepaid balance never expires.
- How is API usage billed? At provider cost — no markup — plus 5% infrastructure per execution, plus the Notre Fee (25% of the post-optimization read value, capped at 50% of your savings) when Notre intervened on eligible chat.
- Do plans include external models? No. External lab models always run on your prepaid balance, on the same at-cost + 5% + capped Notre Fee terms for every plan.
- Can I get a refund? Within 14 days of purchase, and only if you have not used the plan (API requests, credit debits, or prepaid usage). Historical usage records decide eligibility — not the current remaining balance. Mandatory legal rights still apply.
- Where can I see what was billed? The dashboard billing page shows credits, prepaid balance, and per-request state; GET /v1/usage summarizes the account for API clients. Every debit also lands in an append-only internal ledger keyed by request id.
- How do I cancel? Open Manage subscription or Cancel subscription in the dashboard. Both redirect to the Stripe Customer Portal.
