n8n credentials
Configure API key and base URL in n8n.
Create credentials in n8n: Credentials → Add credential → search Caedral API.

Test connection
Click Test in the credential editor. n8n sends GET /v1/usage with Authorization: Bearer <your key>. Success confirms the key is valid and the gateway is reachable.
Create a test API key locally
cd api-gatewaynpm run seed:key -- your@email.comThe seed script prints a cd_live_... key tied to your local database user. Use http://localhost:5001 as Base URL when testing against the local gateway.
Production checklist
- Verify email on your Caedral account before creating keys
- Subscribe to a plan at /dashboard/billing before using paid tiers
- Store the API key in n8n credentials — never hard-code in workflow JSON
- Use separate keys for dev and production n8n instances
